We could also tell you how important it is to have women entrepreneurs in today’s market and that we, as artists and illustrators, are truly passionate about what we do and bring a brand new sensitivity to the industry.

We don’t want to waste your time and tell you what you already know!

Did you know that this year, we’re celebrating our 10 years of existence? We live in a world of “I take, I consume, I throw away”…  so this is not a small feat!

Did you also know that we are an award-winning company, well known and recognized in our field? Over the years, we’ve received awards that not only make us proud and immensely grateful, but it shows how respected we are in our industry and that we were right all along. Dropping (almost) everything, taking risks and creating our own business and creative partnership was the right choice for us!

How did we do it, you ask?

Well, we started small in Edmonton, Alberta, and now we do business in Calgary and have clients all over Canada. We aren’t like any other advertising and web development agencies. We are more than corporate image consultants and expert illustrators.

In fact, on top of our impeccable work and ethics when it comes to branding projects, we see ourselves as leaders in several domains, which might inspire others to take the same leap of faith as we did.

The Creative Coco’Nuts’ philosophy led us where we are today.

We know what it feels like to launch a business. It’s scary and exciting. You might have to make many sacrifices, be it personal or financial. You might have to work 24/7 for many years, skipping holidays or even meals.

We know that it takes a tremendous amount of hard work to start and maintain a business. We went from freelancing to owning our own company and at the beginning, we often had to wear several “hats” to try and keep up!

We’ve been where you are and we want to share our knowledge with you for you to succeed, like us, in today’s competitive market. Whether you’re starting from scratch or wish to reboot and rebrand, we’re here to help you with your business development and your corporate needs.

After all, we have 3650 days and more of experience!

Businesses naturally go through highs and lows, through different cycles that push owners to sometimes reinvent themselves, their image or their product or services.

When we started our own business of creative thinking, we knew that it would not always be easy. You need to do some networking, you need to put yourself out there. Moreover, in our trade of graphic design and advertising, we always need to be on top of the latest trends. What works? What doesn’t? What do modern consumers like?

Think about where the world was, a decade ago. We didn’t really have a constant live connexion on our flip phones. Social media were popular, but not as powerful as they are now when it comes to word of mouth advertising.

Creative Coco’Nuts has always had to adapt as fast as changes happened. Customers always want/need the latest in marketing strategies and the best in customized and mobile friendly sites. We know that and that’s why we are part of the solution and the constant evolution.

 

Leaders in the community

 

It’s great to have a passion and to be able to make a living out of it, but we needed to see further, to give back. To stay in business, we know that we have to act as role models in our industry and, on a larger scale, in our community.

When we started Creative Coco’Nuts, we knew that being bilingual was an added value in Alberta. We started serving several Francophone organizations throughout the province and many are still with us today. We’ve been extremely lucky to work with the Franco-Albertan community over the years. And yes, we’ve given back, through sponsorship for golf tournaments or the annual gathering of Fête Franco for instance.

That privileged business relationship, like any relationships, goes both ways. The community gave back to us. The CDEA, which is the advocate for Francophone economic development in Alberta, gave us awards in the categories Women in Business (2011), Helping Youth Employment (2012) and Business of the Year (2016).

We’ve expanded our presence in the Francophone community at large by working with FCFA, which represent all the French speaking communities in Canada. We’re also present in the Edmonton’s business community and even made it once on the prestigious Edmonton Top 100 Women in Business! Céline was even spotted in the publication “Sizzling 20 under 30” as one of the promising new and upcoming graphic designers in YEG!

From our business to yours, we’ll keep on growing and we’ll keep on giving.
